Day Two at the Globe

I am having so much fun.

Things seem to be going really well *knock on wood, crosses fingers,* thus far at least. Yesterday at the Globe was amazing… since no one was there (Columbus day is apparently a big holiday in the north east) we didn’t feel toO weird wandering around the massive newsroom and getting lost, and we wern’t the “Ooohh, interns!” spectacle that we will probably be today, lol. Unfortunately, the Globe isn’t located downtown like many newspapers, but it’s slightly suburban newsroom is still cool. They have escalators, a gym and cafeteria, you know, all the things fancy newsrooms have these days… ;) . Actually I think most places have that sort of stuff, except the TW.

Anyhow, to summarize without revealing too much before our big presentation, we think it sorta rocks. Hopefully after a few finishing touches and lots of editor critiques today we’ll have something really great. All the intern canidates are smart and talented, and I feel really lucky to have a group that’s willing to compromise. We work together really well. And there’s plenty of green in the project, of course ;) .

We’ll get to explore Boston a little more on our own tonight, woohoo.  I am really loving this city.

gahhhh so happy!
